OUR PROGRAMS

SUNDAY SCHOOL

It is the responsibility of all Christian parents to teach their children at a young age the importance of attending church on Sunday's and receiving Holy Qurbana, the body and blood of our Savior, Jesus Christ. Mar Yosip Sunday School provides a safe and fun environment for kids to learn weekly sermons and build special bonds with other Assyrian-Christian children. We are blessed with a lovely team of volunteers teaching PreK-Kinder, 1st-4th and 5th-7th grades. We also host Camp Raza Qaddisha where the children learn all of the prayers and hymns sung during mass so they too can take part in Raza as they get older, truly a special milestone! Can't wait to see you at Sunday School!

HOLIDAY EVENTS

From Easter egg hunts to Christmas performances, washing of the feet on Holy Thursday and Kalu Sullaqa, our children learn the true meaning of these religious holidays and get to participate in these symbolic and traditional celebrations, creating special memories that will be cherished forever.

ALL SAINTS' NIGHT

Fun for the whole family - the All Saints' Night is a safe way to enjoy the night. Children get to dress up in their favorite costumes, collect delicious candy from decorated trunks, enjoy festive mazes and bounce houses, and play all night long. We look forward to enjoying the evening together!

VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL

Children participate in a variety of activities. Bible stories are taught each day that are in line with VBS theme. Children create easy and fun crafts that reinforce the message of their daily bible lesson and play fun games while being reminded of the lesson of their daily bible story. Children will be taught the Holy Sacraments of the Assyrian Church of the East and their meanings.

Register for this years VBS!

RECREATIONAL ACTIVITIES

Our children have become the best of friends and they look forward to spending more time together. It is important our children are raised with other Assyrian-Christian children and build life long friendships while providing them a safe space to allow just that! Game nights, movie nights and other recreational events will be planned throughout the year.

CULTURE CAMP

The Assyrian Church of the East has been a pillar in preserving the Assyrian language. With our rich history and vast accomplishments over thousands of years, we have curated a week long Culture Camp.  Children will have the opportunity to learn about Assyrian history, art, inventions, Kha b'Nissan, and more!  This fun and energetic week packed with culture teachings includes backing Assyrian goods, games, arts and crafts, music, and much more!

Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these." - Matthew 19:14
